is a program for youth from 3 governorates in Upper Egypt, Minya, Assuit, and Sohag, to help evaluate the position of men and women in the society, and the power dynamic between men and women through the lens of culture and the mechanisms required to change this dynamic.

The participants understand the different types of discrimination, and are trained on a series of skills, including critical analysis, research, listening, expression and public speaking skills, as well as campaign development skills. They will use these skills to further understand the issues within their communities. The active participation of Middle Upper Egypt youth in a youth academy, taking on roles of leadership will enhance the visibility of MUE youth issues in national youth policies, which is currently severely lacking.
